Iberia Medical Center is hiring a Human Resources Manager to lead the day-to-day activities of the Human Resources department for 2 hospital locations and numerous physician practices in Louisiana. This position is located in New Iberia, LA, and will:

Provide direct leadership for Human Resource functions to nearly 900 employees. Oversee the HR operations team, talent acquisition, and physician recruitment activities. Foster the hospital's culture and uphold its core values of Compassion, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, and Excellence.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR professionals.
  • Manage Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
  • Enhance employee relations, engagement, and event planning.
  • Conduct staff training, development, and coaching.
  • Oversee Talent Acquisition.
  • Administer the employee evaluation process and compensation management.
  • Ensure policy adherence and compliance.
  • Promote hospital values and foster a positive culture.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Medium Work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor constitutes a maximum lift of 21-50 pounds on occasion and/or maximum lift of 11-25 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • May be required to assist in the turning, lifting, or moving patients as well as walking about from patients’ room, as well as to and from various hospital areas.

Qualifications:

Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to contribute HR expertise in all functional areas
  • Must be both strategic and “hands-on,” able to hit the ground running and be proactive and visible within the company
  • Must be an outstanding leader, able to cultivate relationships, build trust, and provide timely execution and top-quality services

Education and Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience managing HR functions with a progression of leadership responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role
  • HR Certification (SHRM and/or HRCI) preferred
  • Proven experience in leadership and staff development
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to deal with people from all backgrounds and all ages.
  • Must possess excellent decision-making, leadership, interpersonal, and ethical conduct skills.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate with people of various backgrounds.
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize work and meet required deadlines.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment regulations and laws, preferred.
