Position Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Delivery Manager to join our Cloud Hosting Team.
  • As a Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of cloud infrastructure services to our clients.
  • This role requires strong technical cloud solution knowledge, the ability to speak to and advise on high-level cloud services, and a strong understanding of the roles and responsibilities across teams within the cloud support model.
  • The ideal candidate is adept at managing all levels of communication across internal and client teams.

  • As the SDM, you have the opportunity to work closely across the organization structures from engineer to executives both internally and with the client.
  • The SDM’s experience working with AWS and/or Azure cloud services is key in functioning as a technical liaison for the FSG Cloud Delivery practice.
  • The SDM will be responsible for overseeing the customer success by proactively engaging across the delivery teams to minimize delay in execution, manage project milestones, participate in sprint planning, and be the point of contact for the lifecycle of incident management.
  • The SDM functions as the conduit for transparency and effective communication by actively participating in regular client IT staff
  • This position is located in our Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Belton, Texas, Lebanon, VA and Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
  • Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.


Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on cloud services with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and build strong rapport with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations on high-level cloud services and strategies.
  • Performance management experience delivering to Service Level Agreements in a complex IT environment and understanding contractual obligations, risks and impacts
  • Experience in delivering services to geographically dispersed stakeholders
  • Experience in providing delivery oversight and motivational leadership for teams
  • Familiarity and competence in delivery through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience in implementation and improvement of IT processes.
  • Demonstrated financial management abilities for multi-million dollar scope.
  • Availability for occasional travel
  • Experience delivering IT services in a global delivery model
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project);

  • 5+ years of experience in IT hosting with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in cloud services
  • 3+ years of management experience within federal civilian or defense IT programs, as a government contractor and/or employee
  • A four year Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant field of study


Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

  • Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals) are desirable.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud solutions (e.g., Azure Solution Architect, AWS Solutions Architect - Associate) are highly desirable.
