Position Description:

  • CGI Federal is hiring a Sr. Agency Engineer/Cyber Security Engineer to work with a skilled and motivated team of professionals on a high-visibility Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) cyber security program.
  • You will support a dynamic, fast-paced project focused on improving the cyber security posture of civilian government agencies through the implementation and enhancement of a cybersecurity platform, providing integration services, and developing, securing, and maintaining cybersecurity dashboards.
  • You will work closely with a variety of agency stakeholders, supporting their mission, priorities, organization, and unique challenges.
  • As an Agency Engineer, you will support implementation of technical aspects of the CDM Data Services task order to a defined group of Agencies.
  • Responsibilities will include conducting assessments of Agency environments to create agency-specific cutover plans based on understanding of Agency's tool infrastructure, supporting implementation of new data feeds for new and existing tools in the Agency environment and troubleshooting connections within the Agency environment.
  • This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.


Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of Agency environments to create agency-specific cutover plans based on understanding of Agency's tool infrastructure
  • Assist with Agency cutover from legacy Layer B to Data Service Layer B
  • Troubleshoot connections to CDM tools in the Agency environment as required, including testing activities and troubleshooting firewall issues
  • Support the implementation of new data feeds for new and existing tools in the Agency's environment
  • Support assessments of Agency network configurations, security policies and IT roadmaps
  • Support the identification, develop and implement processes to improve scheduling and coordination efforts in delivering the services associated with the associated tasks for the assigned group or agency


Qualifications:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Due to the nature of the contract requirements, US citizenship and successful passing of CGI background check is required prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 5-8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience.
  • Experience using IT and/or cybersecurity products such as Qualys, Tenable, McAfee, Forescout, Carbon Black, BigFix and others as designated by Agency
  • A professional program certification in information systems security, or in other related fields, is encouraged
  • Knowledge and experience with IT implementations
  • Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels and demonstrate ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with government officials and program office stakeholders
  • Ability to balance and prioritize many diverse tasks at once
  • Ability to manage in a matrixed environment, utilizing a mix of dedicated and shared resources


Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

  • Experience working directly with government clients in a consultative relationship
  • Familiarity or experience with CISA’s Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) Program
