The Systems Analyst provides technical and functional support for the Office of Distance Learning. Duties include development of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system processes and logic, as well as troubleshooting and resolving system issues. Related duties include technical support for office hardware and peripherals such as printers, and other systems support tasks. 

 

Successful candidates will excel in performing project-based work, meeting deadlines, and proactively ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data for departmental users. Candidates must also demonstrate flexibility in pivoting between projects and priorities.


 Responsibilities:

The Systems Analyst will:

  • Develop, test, review, and maintain Distance Learning operations in CRM systems.
  • Provide necessary training for Distance Learning staff to support department technology systems.
  • Ensure data exchange to and from department systems, both within and external to the University, are functioning properly.
  • Implement best practices for technology management and update processes as needed.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for technical procedures and processes.
  • Work with other campus departments and learn how to best leverage centrally-provided IT services.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Office of Distance Learning and the Office of Information Technology.
  • Represent Distance Learning in the governance and operation of new implementations and maintenance of existing University systems; assess how changes to systems will affect online students and advocate as appropriate for this unique population.
  • Keep abreast of new and emerging technologies as they relate to Distance Learning operations and recommend technologies that will improve current operations.
  • Demonstrate effective time and project management, strong attention to detail, ability to analyze data to inform processes and make recommendations for added efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the UL Lafayette Office of Distance Learning mission, goals, and objectives. 


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required.
