  • Acting as the primary contact for test & evaluation of unmanned surface vehicles being constructed.
  • Managing program total ship testing program/master test & inspection plans
  • Reviewing test procedures and acting as test director at events and trials pier side as well as at sea.
  • Providing Test Reports upon completion of testing.
  • Reviewing, screening, and tracking to resolution testing deficiencies/ trial cards.
  • Creating test agendas and event schedules and leading test/trials readiness review meetings
  • Providing input to Integrated Master Schedule and test program to ensure testing requirements can be managed in the contractual time allotted
  • Assist the Program Manager with the development of HM&E related presentations in preparations for trials.
  • Providing weekly and monthly status reports to program stakeholders


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the industry and minimum 6 years prior related experience or Graduate Degree relevant to the industry with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to interpret industry quality standards and workmanship specifications as they pertain to the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) High Speed Naval Craft Rules.
  • Strong skills in identification of non-conformances and problem resolution
  • Use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Prior experience in shipbuilding or maritime industry
  • The ability to communicate effectively and technically with all levels of the organization. The ability to develop and maintain customer confidence and acceptance.
  • Familiarity with inspection of mechanical and electromechanical products.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience dealing with Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SupShip), American Bureau of Shipping, DoD / Navy or related customer experience highly desired.
  • Experience managing production programs involving the build, integration and test of electronic and/or electromechanical systems.
  • Shipyard construction experience highly desired.
  • Ability to adapt processes and procedures to align with site scope.
  • Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers/subcontractors
