Job Summary:  

  • The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer works as part of a Software QA Team to communicate, develop, and maintain a complete Software QA Automation program that will help in fostering a continual quality-first culture in software.
  • Utilizing tools, applications, and knowledge, the Software QA Automation Engineer will translate Test Cases into Automated Tests for current and future software packages.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for designing, developing, executing, implementing, and maintenance of functional, UI, and regressive automated testing
  • Utilize experience with software testing for the implementation of test automation.
  • Document QA activities and tasks for internal reporting.
  • Work with developers, testers, project managers, and stakeholders to communicate QA processes and needs.
  • Identify educational opportunities for utilizing new solutions, technologies, and skills.
  • Manage and respond to software tickets.
  • Assist in the coordination of testing efforts on multiple projects. 
  • Assist in requirements gathering and analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or two to four years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with software testing frameworks and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and how QA functions within it.
  • Experience with quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar task management tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CAD is a plus.
