  • The Project Manager works as part of a Software Team to make certain that business and functional goals are met with each project deliverable.
  • The Project Manager helps develop, maintain, and communicate a vision for project(s) and is responsible for relaying that vision to the Technology Team and the business.
  • Through collaboration with key stakeholders, they help translate requirements into user stories to optimize the value of the Technology Team's efforts.
  • The Project Manager understands the technical and business requirements for project deliverables. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Project Management Tasks: 
    • The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring stakeholder alignment at each stage of a project(s) lifecycle and that proper documentation, organization, and transparency are present.
    • They lead the translation of project requests into technical requirements.
    • The Project Manager is responsible for defining release plans and scope with members of the Technology Team, key stakeholders, and their senior Project Manager.
    • They are also responsible for the development and maintenance of the project backlogs of user stories/requests.
    • By acting as an ambassador for projects, and as the primary contact for queries related to the projects, they partner with other technical groups across the company to ensure successful project deliverables.
    • Ultimately, they help to promote continuous improvement of the development process and actively participate in team retrospectives.
    • The Project Manager is also responsible for leading project Review meetings and encouraging stakeholder engagement in order to optimize the value of work done by the Technology Team. 
  • The following tasks are assigned to the Project Manager if the lead on a project: 
    • Work with and support stakeholders on all requests from inception to completion 
    • Attend and facilitate all project meetings, track deliverables, and continually update the project status 
    • Collaborate with the Software Team, Senior Management, and Business Directors on successful presentations for current and new technology projects 
    • Work with stakeholders to gather all information necessary to complete new technology requests 
    • Ensure all necessary approvals are given related to new project development 
    • Work cross-functionally and partner with teams from all areas of the building to ensure that timelines are met 
    • Proactively recognize and transparently address any hurdles before and during projects, adjusting processes long term

  • Ability to manage changing priorities, meet deadlines and provide results from data-based facts and experience 
  • Working independently with minimal supervision along with the ability to work within a collaborative team required

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or two to four years of related experience and/or training 
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum) 
  • Experience with Jira or similar project management tools 
  • Experience with presentation and visualization tools 
  • Highly proficient in time management, organization, planning, and prioritization 
  • Experience in a high-volume project management environment preferred
  • Project Management Certification would be a plus
