Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains respiratory therapy equipment, by evaluating, cleaning, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance.
  • Maintains parts inventory stock, anticipates future needs, places and expedites equipment order and verifies receipt of incoming equipment.
  • Answers questions from Respiratory Therapists in the field and trouble shoots equipment.
  • Schedules and oversees Third Party repairs as necessary.
  • Maintains service logs, documents all service events, performance tests and preventative maintenance.
  • Participates in training on various types of equipment used in the field.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all equipment types and preventative maintenance procedures for each.
  • Participates in quarterly Physical Inventory counts.
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.


Qualifications:

Physical Demands:

  • Sitting, standing, walking at desk, in office
  • Operation of office machinery and computer
  • Occasionally life/move items up to 50 pounds
  • Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical respiratory equipment and tools utilized to repair such equipment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
