Perform research to locate possible solutions for multi-disciplines projects and perform mechanical design, fabrication, assemble, and troubleshooting of complex machinery
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Design & fabricate custom mechanical device for in-house automation equipment to meet company's needs
Develop detailed mechanical specifications for purchased equipment
Fabricate mechanical equipment from detailed drawings
Perform research on internet for equipment
Provide proper documentation, operating instructions & safety manuals for all custom fabricated equipment
Perform complex CNC and manual task on machine tools in lab
Troubleshoot and repair complex systems that R&D has either fabricated or installed in the factory
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Computer hardware & software skills are necessary
Metal working skills, welding, cutting and sheet metal bending are needed
Skills in the design & installation of electronic control systems for automation equipment are needed
Basic machining knowledge, previous experience in machine fabrication & CAD skills are a bonus
Basic physics and mathematics is considered necessary to complete daily tasks
CAD drawing skills in Master CAM or Inventor
High school diploma or equivalent
Jewelry manufacturing process related experience of at least 10 years
