Position Description:

  • CGI Federal is searching for a Quality Assurance team member to support one of our Earth Observation projects.
  • This individual will be required to perform the QA process for a complex client engagement working with both client and CGI Federal Quality requirements.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • The individual will be responsible for the overall quality of deliverables and maintaining product quality and consistency throughout the lifecycle to client acceptance. These responsibilities include:
    • Develop test plans and scenarios, perform testing, and document test results
    • Reporting and tracking audit defects to closure
    • Supporting the development of project planning documents and estimates
    • Developing and maintaining QA plans/processes (e.g. test plan)
    • Tailoring the QA standards, processes, and procedures applicable to the project
    • Documenting and reporting QA activities and measurements to Senior Management and relevant stakeholders
    • Collaborating with the CGI Federal Center of Excellence/CMMI team, project team members, and Senior Management to improve project processes
    • Assist with preparing and conducting QA process audits and work product reviews based on the engagement’s documented audit plan/schedule if requested.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Experience in writing test cases, preparing test data, test execution, troubleshooting
  • Testing experience with APIs and UI
  • Experience with automation test
  • Experienced with SAFe agile
  • Experience with tools like Confluence, JIRA, Postman, Kibana, IntelliJ, GitHub
  • Experience with languages like Cucumber, Karate, Java/JUnit
  • In-depth understanding of QA disciplines, processes, methods, tools and leading industry practice
  • Detail oriented including thoroughness, and rigor in adhering to and implementing processes
  • Experience working with distributed teams of QA professionals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across teams including Senior Management and project teams in a dynamic team environment
  • Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability
  • Due to the nature of government contract, US citizenship is required.
