The role of a Production Expeditor is to ensure customer orders are being processed on schedule.
By getting request from Customer Service on our Salesforce platform, they will investigate, and problem solve issues at hand.
The Expediter will communicate with internal customers via e-mail, phone, and have face to face discussions, to report feedback to our Customer Service Department.
Information reported and steps to expedite the orders, will be kept on an excel spreadsheet, to be mass uploaded in our Oracle Tracking System.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Liases with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics Operations, Sales, and Customer Service to achieve the agreed upon shipment date of customer ordered items.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service to all internal customers
Examines documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness
Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions while collaborating with management as needed
Confers with internal customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints and/or eliminate delays
Communicates any delivery inconsistencies or delays
Facilitates communication between production personnel and planning to quickly react to conflicts and issues affecting production schedules
Exhibit clear understanding of WIP
Ensures that Open Order Tracking System has the most current information related to all open customer orders
Understanding of the Order Management, WIP, and WMS modules of Oracle
Required to complete computer-based training periodically
Required to check your Stuller corporate email account to attain and communicate important company information
