What this job is all about:

The Planner/Buyer coordinates activities involved with procuring goods such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies for the operations division.

 In this job, you’ll do things like:

• Maintain proper inventory levels based on product demand and supply chain challenges
• Maintain supplier relationships and assist in selecting and overseeing the material supplier base
• Assess financial and lead-time risks of purchases; places and manages purchase orders for goods and services using Oracle
• Purchases non-inventory Items, MRO items, and other non-inventory supplies and equipment for the manufacturing plant
• Assist and facilitate graphics revisions of materials managed as developed by Marketing Departments as necessary

Qualifications:

Must-haves to apply for this job:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
• Knowledge of Purchasing and Inventory Management practices
• Experience in contract negotiation and interpretation
• 3 years of Purchasing or Materials Management experience

What will give you an edge:

• 7+ years of Purchasing or Materials Management experience
• Experience in a consumer product company
