GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- To ensure that inspection, maintenance, testing, and receiving of equipment for drilling, completions and workover is carried out in a safe, proficient manner and that WSI facilities are maintained such that work can be accomplished in a safe and efficient manner.
- Manages process of billing and returning damaged equipment to appropriate vendor to recoup losses and ensuring all appropriate documentation is complete and accurate.
- Responsible for coordinating and monitoring the work of subordinate employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages daily area activities
- Provides technical advice to employees regarding equipment used;
- Identifying and develops plans to improve delivery performance; adjust man power to ensure the quickest, most efficient and cost –effective means for optimal productivity;
- Coordinate with third party vendors regarding logistics, warranties, returns, scheduling and inventory;
- Prioritize tasks to ensure equipment, tools, manpower are available to meet required deadlines;
- Analyze project management if deadlines are not met and provide solutions;
- Coordinate with other General Managers to increase efficiency;
- Coordinate with Materials Coordinators to improve processes and on-time deliveries;
- Lead safety meetings;
- Follow up on any quality and tool chargeback issues to ensure correction;
- Conducts research to verify appropriate customer, vendor and origin of equipment for appropriate repairs;
- Reviews incoming damaged equipment that requires repairs and gathers quotes from repair shops;
- Makes determination of damages and billing needs based on job requirements and past jobs from which tools and equipment have been delivered;
- Assist in training and motivating employees;
- Provide direction for operations;
- Strive to meet facility goals;
- Perform employee reviews and evaluations and/or disciplinary measures;
- Provide adequate resources and/or personnel as required to process orders and equipment;
- Update the District Manager on all matters affecting the facility’s ability to meet customer requirements and facility goals;
- Generate or approve purchase orders to fill demands;
- Ensure QA/QC and HSE policies and procedures are adhered to;
Qualifications:
TECHNICIAL SKILLS and BEHAVIORAL ABILITIES
- Prior knowledge in oilfield rental business preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine correspondence.
- Ability to understand and use basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Self-motivated with very little supervision, even in difficult and complex situations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time.
- Ability to lead, mentor and provide guidance to all direct reports.
