Description

  • The role of the Merchandising Project Specialist is to support the merchandising team in all Marketing, Event, and general team projects to help successfully grow the profitability of one of the jewelry industry’s largest Findings suppliers.
  • In this dynamic role, they will work cross-functionally with various internal teams and external partners to bring projects to completion.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with marketing to develop marketing materials and promotions to successfully launch new products and promotions.
  • Marketing responsibilities, including paginating seasonal brochures and catalogs, along with proofing copy and artwork and seeing it through completion
  • A large portion of this role is based around managing all marketing projects for the Findings & Metals teams
  • This associate must be able to drive a project from start to completion working with associates of all levels.
  • Under the leadership of a Product Manager, work with vendor partners to bring on new styles into the Findings assortment. Request, review and submit cost cards to the data team for part record creation
  • Creation of customer selling solutions to help win in-case business within jewelry stores.
  • Manage sub-inventory and vendor sample accounts for the business unit.
  • Review product data on a regular cadence and facilitate any corrections as necessary.
  • Manage salesforce: answer product questions, search for specific product needs and correct data issues
  • Pull, tag, and set up product for internal/external sales events.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management and other departments.
  • Ability to work directly with customers and employees for in-house and industry events
  • Comfort in working a sales floor and approaching people.
  • Facilitate vendor meetings and itineraries.


Qualifications:

Skills:

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
  • Jewelry and jewelry manufacturing knowledge helpful
  • Diamond and gemstone knowledge helpful
  • Salesforce knowledge helpful
  • Must be able to focus on a single project for long periods of time and jump between multiple projects

Experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor's degree (4-year college degree or equivalent) is preferred. Equivalent experience is acceptable.
