  • The role of the Marketing Project Manager is responsible for executing and maintaining the promotional calendar for print and web.
  • As the key contact between internal clients and the marketing department, the Marketing Project Manager works directly with the Director of Marketing Strategy and Operations and cross-functional teams to coordinate action to complete non-catalog marketing plans. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Gather key information necessary to execute marketing plans, project plans, timelines, etc.  
  • Facilitate production meetings. 
  • Participate in strategy meetings as necessary.  
  • Provide information to the Executive Director for marketing operations budgeting and financial forecasting. 
  • Ensure that project timelines are met at each step, bring awareness to all parties when deadlines are missed. 
  • Enforce use and reporting of project management software internally and cross-functionally. 
  • Develop lasting relationships with internal client personnel that foster client ties.  
  • Communicate internal clients’ feedback to the creative and production and discuss the next steps in the project or campaign.  
  • Communicate effectively with internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions. 
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion. 
  • Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully. 
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase internal customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships. 
  • Build a knowledge base of each internal client’s business, organization and objectives. 
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors. 
  • Ensure projects are completed according to the project plan, timelines and within budget. 
  • Oversee the implementation of all print promotion, collaborate on online/web/email marketing (with digital team). 
  • Identify resources needed and work collaboratively with Projects Planners to assign individual responsibilities. 
  • Check the status of each client's job(s) and provide status updates to key business drivers (ED, BU, Sales, etc.) regularly. 
  • Review deliverables prepared by marketing team before passing to client, implement quality assurance procedures. 
  • Proofread all marketing projects prior to client review and final production. 
  • Finalize spec sheets for Production Director. 
  • Manage project budgets with creative and production teams and Exec Dir of Marketing. 
  • Help outline project plans

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field preferred. 
  • Experience and/or education in project management or related field.  
  • Experience and/or education in marketing, advertising, or related field 
  • Client interaction/account management experience
