Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, vendors and fellow employees. One must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships. Technician must be willing to respond to after hour calls.
·Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting.
·Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, door/cabinets, walls, building exteriors, etc.
·Make ready units for new move-ins in a timely manner.
·Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain and repair.
·Have a working knowledge of hot water tanks and be able to maintain, repair and replace the hot water tank.
·Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program.
·Complete grounds work such as; grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping.
·Coordinate special projects as directed by the Property Manager, Housing Director and/or Executive Director.
·Maintains good working relationships and public relations.
·Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
·Maintains strict confidentiality.
·All maintenance technicians must be willing to switch locations as the need arises within the Lafayette Council on Aging. Employees are not guaranteed a specific property or location.
·Performs other duties as assigned by the Property Manager, Housing Director and/or Executive Director.
Salary Range: 12.00 and up depending on certification and experience
