Purpose of Job: Performs work in all craft skills required to repair and maintain plant equipment, utilities, buildings and related structures manufacturing plant; performs a wide variety of maintenance duties in the various craft skills including fabrication, welding, pipefitting, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, rigging, etc. Operates and maintains key plant systems such as boilers, air compressors and related equipment. Serves key resource in the efficient operation of plant equipment by advising team leaders and troubleshooting technical problems. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: · Monitors plant equipment for proper operation and makes adjustments and repairs. · Installs and sets up major plant equipment. Performs maintenance on all mechanical & electrical equipment including major overhauls, component alignments, adjustments, etc. · Performs duties of an electrician including control and disconnect procedures and equipment testing. · Perform duties of fabricator-welder. Understand lay out techniques and fabricates special equipment components, platforms and piping as required. Operates machine shop equipment such as lathe, mill, saw and drill to either repair or fabricate. · Operates, maintains and repairs critical plant systems, including compressed air systems and water purification system. · Resource for troubleshooting operational equipment system malfunction and executed corrective action in all plant processes and systems · Assists with training operators in equipment operation. · Recommends improvements to equipment design and operational practices. · Executes preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, reports all maintenance activities in Computerized Maintenance. · Performs maintenance on all mechanical equipment including major overhauls, component alignments, adjustments, etc., · Understand and follow cGMP standards and documentation. · Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the plant and maintains cleanliness of working area. · Immediately advise management of injuries, accidents or incidents. · Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures, strict adherence to all company safety policies and personal protective equipment requirements. · Has consistent and regular attendance and punctuality. · Performs other duties as required and directed. Physical Job Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. · Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items. · Respond to public address system announcements; requires listening for emergency announcements and general information. · Walking and carrying and lifting merchandise for long periods of time on a day to day basis. · Identify and read labels, instructions, regulations and reports. · Works in all inside and outside areas of the plant and id often exposed to heat, cold, inclement weather, high noise level, dust, chemicals, grease, oil, and “dirty” working conditions. · May be required to stand for 55 percent of shift, sit for 10 percent of shift, walk around for 25 percent of shift, and bend or crawl for 10 percent of shift. · Operates various equipment, machine tools, and portable power and hand tools consistent with skill level and job assignment. · The job also requires working in heights and confined spaces to inspect, repair, and troubleshooting inside process equipment and other confined access. Proper adherence to confined space safety procedures required. · Ascends and descends stairs and ladders in a safe manner and on numerous occasions during each shift. · The employee may be required to regularly lift/move containers/boxes/equipment. · Some jobs require the use of chemical dust or chemical vapor cartridge respirators. Work Condition Requirements: · The work environment is in a production environment. The employee will work inside and outside and may be exposed to several elements (i.e., dust, noise, extreme cold and heat) and variety of working environments. · Operates various equipment, machine tools, and portable power and hand tools consistent with skill level and job assignment. · Mandatory use of required and recommended Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. · The job also requires working in confined spaces to inspect, repair, and troubleshooting inside process equipment and other confined access. · Work conditions also include accessing elevated areas, working on ladders, scaffolding, and portable work platforms will also be required. Proper use of fall protection with safety harness also required. · Some jobs require the use of chemical dust or chemical vapor cartridge respirators. · May be required to regularly lift/move containers/boxes weighing up to approximately 55 lbs in a repetitive motion. Knowledge/Skills: ·

Qualifications:

At minimum, 3-5 years experience with working as a Industrial maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment. · Experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred, But not required. · Ability to read electrical schematics. · Strong electrical; experience with AC/DC 24V through 480V circuits · Ability to understand and troubleshoot, program VFD’s & PLC’s · Ability to weld & Fabricate as needed. · Ability to read and understand cGMP requirements. · Ability to work independently, self-directed, exercise good judgment and successfully manage one’s own time to maximum advantage on a day-to-day basis. · Ability to maintain positive approach under pressure. · Ability to verbally communicate to others to convey information effectively. · Ability to read and understand written material. Ability to write using correct spelling, ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. · Ability to safely operate all production equipment. · Ability to safely operate forklift; pass The Wright Group certification training. · Ability to independently Minimum Qualifications: · Must be 18 years or older. · High school diploma or GED preferred. · Pass pre-employment drug test, physical and background. · Ability to work flexible schedule, which may include days, evenings, nights, If necessary weekends and holidays. · Successfully complete required training and orientation programs.
