Description

• This entry-level position is responsible for capturing single product, photographic images and video in-studio.
• The Marketing Junior Photographer must be willing to adhere to Stuller image standards with an emphasis on quality and consistency.
• The main function of this role is to take web photos of product to be sold on Stuller.com. As such, these photographs aid customers in making buying decisions online.
• This role reports to the Photography Manager who will set expectations and offer ongoing performance feedback on photographs and best practices. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Determine overall photographic approach according to image standards (i.e. – various angles)
• Determine and set lighting schemes
• Calculate exposures for digital capture using strobe lighting
• Arrange multiple working sets; change sets and lighting as needed
• Capture photographs and 360-degree videos of the product in-studio
• Upload photos and videos to Digital Asset Storage system, identifying images appropriately
• Record completion status of layout and job data, adding keywords and updating item attributes
• Get approval from product managers and/or designers on photographs or video, as needed
• Resolve technical issues as they arise

Qualifications:

SKILLS 

• Basic knowledge of DSLR photography
• Basic knowledge of flash functions (strobes, speed lights, etc.)
• Knowledge of Adobe programs on Mac OS, particularly Photoshop 

QUALITIES 

• Ability to stay organized — manage photo props and overall studio space by ensuring that it is organized and clean
• Be tidy — maintain upkeep of photography equipment and personal workstation
• Be open to taking direction and receiving feedback
• Work in a team environment or independently according to project needs 

EXPERIENCE 

• Associates Degree in Photography; Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Fine Arts (Preferred, but not required.)
• Basic knowledge of DSLR photography
• Basic knowledge of flash functions (strobes, speed lights, etc.)
• Knowledge of Adobe programs on Mac OS, particularly Photoshop
