  • Do you have a knack for finding typos and spotting inconsistencies? Do you notice all the details? If you answered yes, you may be the perfect candidate to fill our junior quality assurance associate position.
  • This position requires a strong knowledge of spelling, grammar, and usage. As an ideal candidate, you’ll easily identify spelling and grammatical errors and apply company brand standards and those specific to certain jobs as required.
  • In this role, you’ll be part of a team of creatives who take pride in their work and embrace each challenge with an open mind. You will work with copywriters and graphic designers, in addition to other marketing team members. Your skills will be valuable in serving thousands of jewelers worldwide with more than 200,000 jewelry products and a complete range of services — all from our headquarters in Lafayette, Louisiana.  


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Review and edit all print materials and more generated by the Creative department 
  • Proofread to ensure consistency, spelling, dictation, syntax, punctuation, and grammar 
  • Cold reads (read documents for errors without the benefit of a master guide — for typos, grammar, etc.)  
  • Use established proofreading marks to note corrections  
  • Work collectively with other quality assurance team members and copywriters to ensure deadlines are strictly met  
  • Other duties as assigned  


Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Excellent proofreading skills, attention to detail, fact-checking experience, and ability to maintain focus during high-volume periods  
  • Above average skills in both verbal and written communication
  • Solid understanding of usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation  
  • Degree or degree in progress in one of the following areas: Public Relations, Advertising, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related field  
  • Knowledge of AP style but also able to incorporate Stuller’s corporate style as well  
  • Strong writing skills are a plus  
  • Capacity to adapt to change, focus, and prioritize in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment  
  • Must be detail-oriented, flexible, able to manage changing priorities, and work independently  
  • Must have strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software
