Position Description:

  • CGI is looking for an experienced developer looking to grow their skills on a large agency account team.
  • The project is a Service Oriented Architecture-based network that handles the exchange of data between government and its stakeholders (states, tribes, municipalities, private industry).
  • The program builds, operates, and maintains this network and is responsible for building the data flows and applications that operate on and integrate on the network.
  • In this role, you'll be contributing on a geographically dispersed cross-functional team utilizing Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework to develop on cadence and release on demand.


Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software. Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications.
  • Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  • Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
  • Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  • Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools.
  • Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Participates in code reviews, daily scrums, and other Agile development ceremonies.


Qualifications:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Skills required:
    • Proficiency in Java, Knockout.js, AngularJS, SPA, HTML5, Bootstrap, SQL, Hibernate
    • Experience developing and consuming REST web services
    • Consulting experience
    • Knowledge of the full software life cycle
    • Knowledge and experience with Agile development methodology
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline
    • 3 to 8 + years of experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using Atlassian tools such as Bitbucket, Confluence, JIRA, and Bamboo
  • Experience working with remote team members
  • Will also accept candidates with a Masters degree in lieu of 1 year required experience.
