The Lafayette Economic Development Authority is seeking applications for a full-time IT Manager position.

The IT Manager will manage LEDA’s IT infrastructure and systems administration including software and hardware for the following: physical and virtualized servers, desktops and laptops, security, backups, networking, handheld devices, IP phones, databases and CRM. The IT Manager is expected to keep up with current technology trends and evaluate their potential application to LEDA and its business processes.

The IT Manager will serve as an advisor to LEDA, local government and the local business community regarding technology issues including but not limited to best practices, networking, security, disaster preparedness, broadband access, as well as trends in the local, regional and national economies that might be pertinent to Lafayette commerce.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Equipment management
  • Help desk/troubleshooting
  • Supervise one or more technology interns
  • Managing other special projects as directed by President and CEO


Qualifications:

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related field

Work Experience:

  • 2+ years of work experience preferred, entry-level with applicable bachelor’s degree and intern or cooperative work experience in a similar setting is acceptable

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of LEDA’s IT systems.
  • Working knowledge of Information Technology, Microsoft 365, VMware vSphere, Windows Server and Client, Linux, Veeam, Salesforce and IP phone systems
  • Working knowledge of audio-visual software, hardware, and integration
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and businesses
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
