The role of an Initial QA Technician will be to perform initial quality inspection of jewelry pieces to ensure the product meets quality standards for both internal and external customers.
You will also verify if the jewelry piece received is the correct item needed, the quantity is correct and if it's in the correct karat ordered by the customer.
Updating the job status of the order number and item will be entered in our Oracle Computer Tracking System.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform initial inspection on manufactured jewelry parts and components
Visibly detect defects on product using a head visor or using an individual eye loop
Make judgement calls determining severity of defect and capability of future processing
Choose correct codes when product does not meet acceptable standards
Use Oracle to process components; assign to a job, reject, or update to the next location
Physically move product throughout the department
Match Inventory components with corresponding job
Required to complete computer-based training periodically
Required to check your Stuller corporate email account to attain and communicate important company information
