Description

  • The role of the SysOps Help Desk Technician is to provide first line hardware and software support to all corporate users.
  • Responsibility for procurement of hardware/software items.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Log all calls, emails, work orders into the work order system
  • Resolve Tier 1 problems over the phone, if necessary escalate call to a PC Specialist
  • Review and process requisitions, obtain quotes, procure equipment and reconcile
  • Ensure tagging of company assets prior to distribution
  • File all forms including but not limited to, packing slips, vendor quotes, software licensing, etc.
  • Primarily to cover core hours, although there may be a requirement to cover outside of normal office hours
  • Minimum manual labor is involved, ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Support staff in assigned projects
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills 
  • Basic knowledge of computer components


Qualities:

  • The ability to satisfactorily adhere to company attendance policies.
  • Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) preferred


Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 2 years of experience with Microsoft office products
