ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uses Practical Engineering principles to investigate and resolve job issues for the Tools division
  • Works with Operations to plan, establish, and maintain product and service quality objectives consistent with Customer and Corporate requirements.·
  • Works with Operations Group on project planning. 
  • Assist in developing recommendations concerning project preparation and implementation of down-hole equipment. Participate in project reviews, develop, and explain equipment layouts, and perform presentations when required.·
  • Assist engineering with the creation of Engineering Design Requests (EDR) for new products.·
  • Review EDR’s for new products and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) for existing products.  Oversee operations to ensure compliance.·
  • Create and/or update documents for the Operations Group.  These may include, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Tools and/or Assembly Work Instructions (TWI/AWI), Tool Testing Procedures (TTP), and other documents required by the Operation Group.·
  • Participate in the introduction and initial use of new products and technologies.  Assist in training employees in the function, assembly and use of equipment.·
  • Work with Design Engineering group on the improving or enhancing existing equipment or technologies
  • Assist with job problems and subsequent investigations and reports. Investigates and reports on unusual job occurrences and assists in developing and implementing improvement opportunities
  • Assist Technical Sales Group with presentation of technical matters to customers
  • Train and orientate sales personnel and Associate Engineers, Tool Specialists, and Assembly personnel on new products and services
  • Review Technology Group job releases for accuracy and application·
  • Perform tool testing for customers for job issues and new designs at any time or for any reason

Qualifications:

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Downhole Hydraulics, Mechanical Applications. and Principles      
  • Basic understanding of downhole sand control completion principles and techniques      
  • Current technology used in the oil and gas industry      
  • Knowledge relating to completion services procedures and processes     
  • Current practices, equipment, materials, and supplies used in the completion tools business     
  • Knowledge, competency, and experience in related field
  • Critical math skills needed for system calculations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
