Polishing precious metal jewelry through a process that utilizes reverse electro plating to achieve a finished state.
The chemical liquid erodes the anodic layer of metal that protects the piece where the bead or resin touches the metal surface.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Determine and set parameters for each production run based on metal quality and physical characteristics of each piece, adjusting the parameters as needed throughout the process.
Perform Total Productive Maintenance (Checking levels on units, clean contacts, inspecting organic cathode & racks)
Perform Total Preventative Maintenance - Maintain bath chemistry & media, disassembling & re-assembling units
Inspect and assess the quality of the output.
Work with Hazardous Chemicals & follow protocols identified in JSA to insure proper safety measures
Provide feedback to production operators regarding surface quality
Qualifications:
Skills:
Plating experience desired
Understanding of jewelry quality standards
Knowledge of lean manufacturing systems and tools
Basic math and good writing skills
Understanding of basic electrical concepts such as voltage, amperage and conductivity as it relates to precious metals
