  • Establishes the key strategies within the manufacturing environment in alignment and support of the overall company mission
  • Leads the manufacturing team in the planning, development and execution of both strategic initiatives and day-to-day production activities.  
  • Evaluates performance of direct reports on achievement of objectives 
  • Identifies and deploys effective tools and techniques, including the principles of lean manufacturing, to achieve continuous improvements in all operations
  • Acts as a change agent by challenging existing approaches and performance within the manufacturing operations areas
  • Manages manufacturing cost center budgets in order to achieve target costs.
  • Partners with team members in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Quality and R&D to achieve overall objectives within the larger operations team 
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of performance measurement systems that provide real KPI data for achieving improvements in productivity, quality and costs.
  • Schedules and leads business reviews with manufacturing departments, operations team and executive leadership team
  • Manages project portfolio targeting continuous improvements among production departments
  • Empowers and motivates team members:  Provides employees with the resources, authority, opportunity and inspiration to accomplish their objectives
  • Plans and delegates:  Evaluates workloads and allocates decision making and work activities in a way that optimizes the team and individual effectiveness.
  • Collaborates across the business:  works with other teams or individuals across the business to achieve common goals
  • Holds the team accountable:  Ensures that self and others take responsibility to meet the expectations to which they are committed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Manufacturing related field
  • 10+ years relevant experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience in a management and/or site leadership position
  • Expertise with technology including ERP, MES and common programs such as MS Office, Outlook, Sharepoint, etc.
  • Experience in the fast-moving consumer products industry
  • MBA or related graduate degree
  • LEAN or other continuous improvement training / experience
