BackAssistant Program Manager

Position Description:
- CGI has an immediate need for an Assistant Program Manager to join our financial services team in Columbia, SC; Lafayette, LA or Reston, VA.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Support the Sr Director and other Directors in all aspects of program planning, execution, and delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements, establish priorities, and define deliverables.
- Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring they align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Prepare presentation slides and status reports and be comfortable to present in front of senior management
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing any issues that may impact project timelines or quality
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, workshops, and other project-related activities, ensuring effective participation and collaboration among team members.
- Work with the Project Managers to eliminate blockers
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance test.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment of project objectives.
- Conduct research and gather relevant data to support decision-making and program improvements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to program management.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in project coordination or program management roles.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all project-related tasks.
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
- Proficient in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Trello.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office suits - Excel, Word, Power Point
- Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and achieving project goals.
