Leadership & Management

  • Leads and directs the Sales department for 9 branch locations to achieve objectives established in the Bank's Strategic Plan.  
  • Maintains a regular presence at all branch locations ensuring the sales culture and environment focuses on relationships, sales referrals, retention, and customer service. 
  • Coach and develop Sales Branch Managers by providing side by side coaching and on the job training to be effective sales leaders and to achieve established goals.
  • Develop career development strategies with Branch Managers to foster professional growth development of team members and mentor future company leaders.
  • Establish minimum performance standards and monitor and track performance to objectives, goals, and expectations. 
  • Ensure all team members have the training, guidelines, and information needed to perform on a day-to-day basis.  
  • Develop, update, and implement appropriate award and recognition programs.
  • Introduce new banking solutions and services, expand business and growth opportunities, and increase banking relationships.
  • Collaborate with the HR Director regarding the hiring & selection of Branch Management, performance evaluations and terminations.
  • Ensure newly hired Branch Sales Managers and employees understand bank policies and become acclimated to their new position in a timely manner in order to maintain a cohesive, productive branch.
  • Increase GCB visibility in the market through networking and social media updates (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, website).
  • Ensures all branch procedures, banks policies, procedures, and regulations are followed.

Strategy

  • Analyze internal sales reports and market data trends to drive sales production, develop sales strategies and improve performance.
  • Monitor CRM to ensure branch sales managers are following up on customer requests and cross selling the bank’s products and services.
  • Distribute leads from inbound inquiries to the Commercial Lenders and ensure the appropriate assignment of Commercial Lenders to each account based on compatibility with the customer. 
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on the development of marketing plans and materials that will support the sales strategy.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 
  • 10+ years sales management experience. Experience in the financial services industry is a plus. 
  • Expert knowledge of sales and sales strategies.  
  • Strong experience with using and developing CRM strategies. 
  • Knowledge of banking products, banking operations and current market trends is a plus. 
  • Must be hands-on, proactive, and visible within the company.
  • Must be able to cultivate relationships, build trust and provide timely execution and top-quality service.
