Description

  • International Snubbing Services, LLC is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst for the Arnaudville Louisiana location.
  • This position will administer timely payment of all vendor invoices and expense vouchers, reconciliation of outstanding account balances and maintenance of accurate records and control reports. Provide ad hoc accounting support to Assistant Controller and AR Analyst.


 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Charge expenses to proper accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; record entries
  • Prepare credit applications and set up new vendors
  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and correcting discrepancies
  • Assist with month end duties as it pertains to accounts payable
  • Prepare manual accruals (non-PO)
  • Assist with reconciling credit card statements
  • Maintain historical records by scanning and filing documents
  • Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices, sales tax (accruals)
  • Follow up on received, but not yet invoiced items
  • Review and distribute daily Purchase Order report
  • Assist with maintaining internal controls as it pertains to Vendor Maintenance and Accounting
  • Protect organizations value by keeping information confidential
  • Assist in other areas of Finance as needed as well as support the AR Finance Analyst with the following duties:
  • Generate and issue invoices according to specified monthly deadlines
  • Maintain up-to-date billing system and ensure it is in line with the company’s procedures
  • Coordinate contact with customers
  • Resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history and credit lines
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payment, delayed payments, and other irregularities


Qualifications:

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • General math skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the Accounting Field or related area
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the Accounting Field
