LEDA Virtual Job Fair

 

Employers interested in posting their job openings on the LEDA Virtual job fair (at no cost) can send job description, qualifications, and application method to LEDA's Director of Workforce Development by email.


In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.





Position: Human Resource Generalist

• Monitor and maintain human resources policies, programs, and practices.
• Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
• Supports organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
• Enroll and terminate all new hires and terminated employees in Employee Benefits plans they choose to participate in.
• Implements employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; and designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
• Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.
• Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
• Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.
• Cultivates professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Prepare and check monthly payroll as instructed by Controller
• Prepare final paycheck and assist with COBRA paperwork for terminating employees and conduct exit interviews.
• Assist employees with any HR questions related to their benefit plans or payroll information. Including their deductions or beneficiaries.
• Manage Time and Attendance accounting
• Ensure timely performance reviews are completed
• Assist in on boarding as directed
Manage recruiting and hiring process.

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent
Technical knowledge and skills
• Microsoft Excel (high skill level)
• Microsoft Word (high skill level)
• Microsoft Outlook (basic skill level)
General assessment skills
• Offers suggestions and/or ideas for change in a respectful and knowledgeable manner
• Exudes honesty and integrity within a professional image
• Demeanor is steady and consistent
• Presents Manuel Builders in best possible light
• Obtains and passes on relevant information to others who should know
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
