LEDA Virtual Job Fair


Employers interested in posting their job openings on the LEDA Virtual job fair (at no cost) can send job description, qualifications, and application method to LEDA's Director of Workforce Development by email.

In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.

Position: Human Resources Specialist (WAITR)

  • Responds to employees requests regarding general employment questions and policies and procedures.
  • Performs various human resources duties in such areas as training, employee relations, on-boarding/off-boarding or other special projects.
  • Provides guidance on human resources operational issues, employment law, and develop new programs and initiatives to meet management needs.
  • Contributes to a professional, positive and results-oriented team environment and makes recommendations for improvement to human resources programs.
  • Responds to and manage escalation of employee relation issues such as employee concerns and investigations with grace, compassion and integrity.
  • Ensures that Waitr’s safety programs and initiatives are being followed.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Manages employee off-boarding, conducts exit interviews, results analysis and prepares data reports.
  • Establishes and maintains solid working relationship with employees and managers..
  • Facilitates new hire orientation, reviews new hire paperwork and onboarding  tasks.
  • Partner with Unemployment third party administrator to ensure accurate processing of claims in a timely manner.
  • Partner with Employment Verification third party administrator to ensure processing of requests in a timely manner.
  • Assists with other HR projects as defined.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field
  • 2+ years of HR Generalist experience or similar experience preferred.
  • Exceptional customer focus with strong professional acumen
  • Google Suite features
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees and members of the HR management team.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
