LEDA Virtual Job Fair

 

Employers interested in posting their job openings on the LEDA Virtual job fair (at no cost) can send job description, qualifications, and application method to LEDA's Director of Workforce Development by email.


In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.





Position: AmeriCorps Grant Manager

AmeriCorps Member Recruitment & Enrollment
1. Coordinate campaign to recruit a team of individuals to serve as AmeriCorps members for afterschool and summer programs
2. Attend local career fairs, university career days and other recruitment events
3. Coordinate an interview, screening, and selection process for AmeriCorps members
4. Prepare and update all print material for AmeriCorps member recruitment
 
AmeriCorps Member Training
1. Develop and coordinate an annual training curriculum for the AmeriCorps team and for AmeriCorps Members individually.
2. Develop and implement one monthly training and one week prior to summer session to assist members’ personal and professional development.
3. Seek out trainers/speakers for monthly training
4. Develop and implement Pre-Service Orientation for all new AmeriCorps members
5. Review, update and train AmeriCorps members on program requirements as designated in handbook
 
AmeriCorps Member Supervision
1. Conducts performance reviews (90 day/End of term)
2. Collect all required documents and maintain AmeriCorps member files
3. Develop professional development plans for all AmeriCorps members.
4. Assure activities of AmeriCorps members are in compliance with CNCS regulations
5. Communicate community outreach opportunities to AmeriCorps members.
6. Coordinate Swearing In Ceremony
7. Coordinate Graduation Ceremony

 AmeriCorps Program Reporting

1. Maintain paperwork systems and collect paperwork from all AmeriCorps members
2. Update program based database on a regular basis
 
AmeriCorps Service Projects
1. Plan and implement Martin Luther King Day (January)
2. Assist Club Directors with planning and implementing other service learning opportunities for youth
 
Volunteer Management & Community Outreach
 1. Recruit community volunteers 
2. Coordinate an interview, screening, and selection process for all potential volunteers
3. Maintain volunteer applications/files
4. Track volunteer activity

Qualifications:

          High school diploma

·         AmeriCorps program/grant management experience preferred.

·         Excellent communication and organization skills 

·         2+ years supervisory experience

·         A passion for the Boys & Girls Club mission and making positive changes in society through serving youth

·         A personal commitment to success in the face of challenges and adversity

·         Playful, fun and able to interact with a variety of personality types

·         A desire to be a part of a team which values fair, open, honest and clear communication

·         Experience in recruiting & managing volunteers in a way that creates lasting relationships with the organization

·         Ability to measure and use data in promoting the value of partnering with our organization

·         Experience in motivating and supervising multi-level staffing

·         Experience developing collaborative relationships with both internal and external constituencies

·         Ability to serve as a visionary leader, engaging and motivating a wide variety of people to advance the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs and AmeriCorps

Willingness to live as a role model of values based decision making in society at large
