LEDA Virtual Job Fair


Employers interested in posting their job openings on the LEDA Virtual job fair (at no cost) can send job description, qualifications, and application method to LEDA's Director of Workforce Development by email.

In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.

Position: Benefits Specialist (WAITR)

Administer health and welfare benefit plans including, but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, retirement and supplemental programs.
Serve as a primary contact for employees, vendors and third-party administrators regarding benefit related issues or questions.
Ensure compliance with state and federal laws affecting group benefit management administration, including but not limited to: ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, Section 125, Qualified Medical Child Support Orders, Form 5500, and state regulations.
Audit health and welfare benefit plan enrollment data to ensure accuracy.
Assist in the coordination and execution of the annual enrollment process for employees, including preparation of communications to help employees in making the right decisions.
Reconcile and process monthly carrier premium invoices and ensure timely payment.
Make recommendations to offer cost effective and competitive employee benefits.
Provide guidance, advice, analysis, and training of HR professionals with respect to applicable benefit plans.
Respond to data requests, inquiries and escalations as needed, both internally and externally.
Assist with administering employee leave processing and partnering with HR Business Partner function as necessary.
Establish and build strong working relationships within the HR teams, Accounting & Finance, and other internal and external stakeholders to support benefits related business needs.


Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience
4+ years of benefits administration experience or similar experience preferred
Experience with employee benefit platforms and/or payroll/HRIS systems
Commitment to customer service and a strong sense of ownership for projects and results
Strong problem solver with good analytical skills
A strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a dynamic and demanding environment to meet critical deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Ultimate software experience strongly preferred
Some payroll experience or knowledge helpful, but not required
