LEDA Virtual Job Fair

In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.

Position: Front End Developer (CGI)

CGI Front-End Developer will responsible for the effective delivery of web-based frontend components of a modern system / solution. Additionally this role will be responsible to mentor and support the front-end development team members. 

Initially, this project will leverage a traditional waterfall methodology and then transition to Agile. The new solution will be the center of a “Ecosystem" of multiple system integration points.

The selected Front End Developer candidate will join a large housing inventory and case management program that integrates with over 12 enterprise applications.

Fundamentally the system will be built with the following high level tools / technologies:

• Web Application User Interface: Angular 5 + Bootstrap 

• Backend: .NET Core 2.0 / REST

• Workflow and Rules Engine: Decisions

• System Integrations: RabbitMQ, IBM ESB

• JIRA, Bitbucket, Web Services, ETL

 Front End Developer will be responsible for authoring technical documentation, development, and testing of web-based frontend components of the application in accordance with the requirements.

Responsible for validating and understanding front-end business and technical requirements of the project and collaborating with the project team to design and build the system according to the technical specifications.

• Creation of technical specifications, estimates, test scripts and system documentation. 

• Participation in system and application design, technical processes and procedures.


Excellent technical leadership experience, excellent communication skills, dedication to the successful delivery within tight timelines, and ability to work with an onshore remote delivery team by leveraging project management methodologies. Understanding of the technologies to be used.

• Solid understanding and working application of software programming, analysis, design 

concepts and best practices.

• Sound logic skills specifically as applied to programming/software development.

• Participation in multi-tiered system and application architecture discussions.

• Familiar with Application servers, web services, MVC, code repositories, standard IDE, relational databases • Waterfall experience is required.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Government experience a plus.

2. Understanding or Reasonable Accommodation’s a plus.

3. Masters or Bachelors Degree in Business Management or Computer Science or a related discipline, at least 5 years of solid experience delivering in IT or equivalent.

4. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

5. Excellent written skills.

6. Ability to work as part of a high performance team in a fast-paced environment.

7. Ability to deliver regular quick updates and system solutions and communicate to team Technical Lead for review and approval.
