LEDA Virtual Job Fair

 

Employers interested in posting their job openings on the LEDA Virtual job fair (at no cost) can send job description, qualifications, and application method to LEDA's Director of Workforce Development by email.


In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.





Position: Human Resource Specialist

  • Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
  • Maintain personnel records, employee files and ensure timely processing of employee status changes including new hires, salary changes, classifications and terminations within HRIS.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by performing reference checks and issuing offer letters
  • Assist the onboarding process and is responsible for ensuring new hire paperwork is completed accurately and maintained properly
  • Assists with completing documentation related to unemployment and  employment verifications
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Perform orientations and update records of new staff
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity and maintains HR dashboards
  • Formulating methods to improve employment policies, processes and practices as well as recommending changes to management.
  • Continuously identify and develop solutions to automate processes and improve efficiency.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years human resource experience required
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to customer service and strong sense of ownership for projects and results.
  • Strong problem solver with decision making skills.
  • A strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a dynamic and demanding environment to meet critical deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. TEAM oriented.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
