LEDA Virtual Job Fair


Employers interested in posting their job openings on the LEDA Virtual job fair (at no cost) can send job description, qualifications, and application method to LEDA's Director of Workforce Development by email.

In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.

Position: Dishwasher

Essential Duties:
1. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
2. Sort and stack clean dishes. Carries clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewashes soiled dishes before delivering.
3. Make sure the day’s work is completed prior to leaving.
4. China, glassware, and silverware (CGS) needs to be washed, sorted, and organized to its specific area each day so that it is put in proper place as per Standard Operating Procedure.
5. Change dishwasher in dish machine every hour.
6. Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
7. Remove trash and garbage to dumpster.
8. Set up or break down dishwashing area.
9. Clean and roll/unroll mats.
10. Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
11. Sweep/mop floors. Secure area with wet floor signs upon earliest observation.
12. Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
13. Assemble/disassemble dish machine.
14. Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster.
15. General restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
16. Must notify Manager anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
17. Never touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.
18. Other duties as directed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age.

1. Must be able to read labels on chemicals.
2. Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.

• Walks and stands during entire shift.
• Lift and carry racks of dishes, glassware and other utensils, weighing up to 30 pounds, up to 50 times per shift.
• Lift and empty trash cans weighing up to 150 pounds, with assistance, up to two times per shift.
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, push, lift, talk and hear.

The working condition is mostly indoor work (80%), but some outdoor work may be required (20%) and work environment may be hot and damp. Ability to withstand temperature variations, both hot and cold. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass and metal cans, burns, slipping and tripping. Frequent washing of hands. May be required to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
