LEDA Virtual Job Fair

 

Employers interested in posting their job openings on the LEDA Virtual job fair (at no cost) can send job description, qualifications, and application method to LEDA's Director of Workforce Development by email.


In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.





Position: Vice President of Operations

  • Oversee the development and implementation of delivery of effective operations, programs, services, and activities that facilitate achievement of priority outcomes            
    • Actively observe Club level operations to determine effectiveness, ensuring quality improvement of staff and programs by conducting regular evaluations
    • Manage performance of direct reports in achieving goals, providing assistance in program design, development, community relations and program operations
    • Monitor organizational goals pertaining to average daily attendance, total membership and NYOI measurements
    • Monitor feeding program, including site visits to ensure compliance
    • Manage membership tracking software
  • Assist in the management of organizational resources
    • Assist in budget development, controlling expenditures against Club level budgets
    • Manage administrative and operational processes, overseeing the maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and repair of buildings, equipment, and other facilities
    • Identify development needs and opportunities of team members
    • Guide Unit Directors and site personnel in identifying potential donors or event sponsors
    • Participate in all organizational fundraising activities as needed
  • Develop collaborative partnerships that produce impactful opportunities for youth, Unit Directors, members, and families
    • Utilize community organizations to provide programs/services to educate families on local services
    • Organize opportunities for Unit Directors, members, and families to present before local school boards, civic clubs, and at local government gatherings
  • Support Board Committees, as assigned
    • Implement Operations/Safety Committee
    • Oversee all Area Boards       
      • May assist in the administration of restricted programs by overseeing program operations at each location; ensures the completion of required reports; and preparation of any required interagency reports
      • Recruit, screen, and select all assigned staff with assistance from the President & CEO
      • Manage other special projects and duties as assigned by the President & CEO

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
A minimum of three years work experience in non-profit operations management and supervision, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
Knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs; of the principles and practices of non-profit organizations
Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, and coordinate operations; in personnel supervision, the recruitment and retention of key personnel; facilities oversight; and budget management
Demonstrated ability to provide motivation, leadership, and guidance to team members, and 
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with Unit Directors, direct reports, Board members, community groups, and other related agencies.
