LEDA Virtual Job Fair

 

Employers interested in posting their job openings on the LEDA Virtual job fair (at no cost) can send job description, qualifications, and application method to LEDA's Director of Workforce Development by email.


In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.





Position: Executive Director

·         Perform administrative functions to include report generation, donor relations mailings, press releases, and design work

Responsible for the acquisition, storage, and distribution of food

·         This includes the evaluation of inventory for offsite/onsite pantries: Progressive Baptist Church, United Christian Outreach, and the FoodNet Distribution Center.

·         Solicitation of food from 3 primary food drives and over 100 independent food drives

·         Order processing for all food with budget grant funds

·         Provide Awareness of shortages to community

·         Schedule deliveries and pick up in coordination of the warehouse for all the pickup and deliveries.  Lead Driver also arranges this effort.

·         Schedule, orientate, organize, and maintain volunteer positive experience for activities related to FoodNet

·         Supervises and create the logistics for events such as Food Drives, Days of Service, Fundraising events and other events.

  • Propose an annual budget with assistance from board of directors/president  and bookkeeper
  • Initiate and oversee primary fundraising activities through FoodNet.  Assure reputable organizations when hosted on FoodNet’s behalf.
  • Maintain at minimal the pre-established grants. Write new grants as desired to increase funding.
  • Audit preparation in conjunction with bookkeeper 
  • The food bank director serves as the main “go-to” person for all FoodNet correspondence, staffing concerns, community partners, and logistics.

  • The food bank director must have a positive public persona and be willing to promote awareness of hunger throughout the community through public presentations, on-camera interviews, and interviews.

Qualifications:

·         Nonprofit experience preferred

·         Must be compassionate to hunger related efforts and clients

·         Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

·         Must lead on media correspondence and awareness

·         Proficiency with key social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

·         Excellent writing skills

·         Grant writing and maintenance of received grants

·         Works well independently and as part of a team
