LEDA Virtual Job Fair


Employers interested in posting their job openings on the LEDA Virtual job fair (at no cost) can send job description, qualifications, and application method to LEDA's Director of Workforce Development by email.

In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.

Position: Benefits Specialist


  • Serve as direct contact for questions regarding benefit eligibility, benefit claim issues, plan renewal and changes.

  • Serve as day-to-day contact for benefit plan providers to inquire and resolve benefits enrollment and eligibility issues.

  • Prepare and submit report detailing the current year’s benefits program usage, services, coverage, effectiveness, and cost. 

  • Proactively identifies process improvements and make recommendations to modify procedures as needed. Implement approved new or modified employee benefits plans and policies.

  • Reconcile insurance bills with the active enrollment roster on a monthly basis.

  • Prepares monthly benefit vendor invoices for payment. 

  • Coordinate annual open enrollment period each year including distribution of materials from carriers, communicating changes to employees and arranging for on-site representation by providers and/or employee representatives when needed.

  • Process and  maintain all benefits administration including benefit enrollments, COBRA, beneficiaries, rollovers, distributions terminations and hardship loans.

  • Effectively utilizes HRIS system by accurately adding and processing employee benefit records,  running reports for audits and managing benefits elections.

  • Identify, investigate, manage and resolve discrepancies and errors resulting from benefit administration, HRIS system and enrollment processes. Research and troubleshoot incorrect leave accruals.

  • Assist with preparation of 5500 process, 401K and stock plan administration. 

  • Responsible for Affordable Care Act (1094 &1095) tracking and reporting and compliance requirements.

  • Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration.

  • Coordinate benefits compliance reporting.

  • Implement approved new or modified employee benefits plans and policies.

  • Assist with the benefit plan renewal process. 


  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent

  • At least 5+ years of experience with Benefits Administration.

  • Working knowledge of UltiPro and Computershare preferred

  • Must have ACA (1094 & 1095 filing) experience and 401(k) and stock plan administration experience.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel

  • Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills.

  • HRIS experience preferred.

Effective communication skills and strong presentation skills; demonstrated ability to effectively deliver informative and engaging presentations
