LEDA Virtual Job Fair


Employers interested in posting their job openings on the LEDA Virtual job fair (at no cost) can send job description, qualifications, and application method to LEDA's Director of Workforce Development by email.

In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.

Position: Systems Administrator

Participates on a tightly integrated team responsible for the operational maintenance of Windows file, web, and database servers, storage (NAS & SAN), VMware infrastructure, and Microsoft Active Directory as well as software delivery, patching and monitoring systems. Maintains administration of AD file shares and user accounts permissions. Manages the corporate network, including firewalls, DNS, DHCP, etc. Provides documentation and guidance in addition to communicate clearly and effectively with help desk and customer support teams. Maintains backup routines and troubleshoots issues. Creates, updates and closes all incident tickets in a timely manner

Experience: 4 - 8 years of IT experience; 2 – 4 years experience as a System Administrator.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science or related field from four-year college or technical school required.
Certification/Registration: Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE) and/or VMWare (VCP/VCAP) preferred.
Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of VMware and Windows servers and systems. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio required. System documentation ability.
Other Knowledge and Skills: Additional desired skills include familiarity with remote management technologies, LANs, WANs, data center environments, power management, email, MS System Center, MS Skype for Business, spam & virus control, web filtering, wireless networking, group policies, voice/data circuits, powershell scripting, MS Sharepoint and BCP/DR standards.

Physical Requirements: Lifting/carrying computing components (CPSs, printers, monitors, etc). May be required to maneuver around and under furniture.
Supervision Given/Received: No supervisory responsibilities. Under general supervision from Supervisor/Manager works within specific guidelines and protocols on semi-routine assignments.

Systems Analysis
Assists in the development of system design procedures, test procedures and quality standards. Analyzes information processing or computation needs, plans and designs computer systems, using techniques such as structured analysis, data modeling and information engineering. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
System Maintenance: Performs routine maintenance on system components. Understands system performance requirements and what kind of maintenance is needed.
System Testing: Identifies measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance relative to the goals of the system. Is able to accurately evaluate system performance.
