In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.

Position: Software Engineering Manager (Waitr)

 If you like finding creative solutions to complex problems and have a good sense of humor, you came to the right place. Learn more about the Product and Engineering team here: Now, onto the role of an Engineering Manager. Our highly-caffeinated Engineering Team builds the framework of the Waitr experience one line of code at a time. They maintain all our products, collect data, measure impact, build new features, release improvements, and vet new products to improve our services. Here's how you'll be spending your week: • Helping set and fulfill the engineering hiring plan for the team, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing. • Representing your team in planning and product meetings. • Meeting with the rest of the engineering management team to align engineering-wide priorities. • Helping implement effective engineering processes and policies. • Ensuring production readiness reviews are done for all new product releases. • Participating in code reviews. • Conducting 1:1 meetings with direct reports to manage performance and provide feedback.

We're looking for someone who: • has several years of serving in an engineering management or technical leadership role. • has hands-on experience in software engineering and you are up-to-date on best practices. • is excited to explain complex technical concepts and share your knowledge with diverse audiences both internally and externally. • can contemplate several, and often conflicting, constraints and make rapid decisions. • can anticipate future technical needs for the product and craft plans to realize them. • excels at building roadmaps and can develop a long-term team vision in partnership with other engineering teams. • can be accountable for driving project execution. • loves helping engineers develop new skills and advance in their careers. • doesn’t shy away from performance conversations and you recognize the relationship between objective feedback and career growth. • has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
