LEDA Virtual Job Fair


Employers interested in posting their job openings on the LEDA Virtual job fair (at no cost) can send job description, qualifications, and application method to LEDA's Director of Workforce Development by email.

In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.

Position: Administrative Specialist III

      • Provides administrative support to the Market Vice President including tasks such as managing documents and files, researching, accessing and compiling data, creating reports, and completing a wide variety of tasks to support the department’s work flow. Maintains and keeps current an Acadiana Metrics Report File. 
• Serves as a member of the Acadiana Leadership Team and assists with maintaining agendas, minutes, and action items. 
• Assists the Vice President with handling and finding resolution of customer escalations. Partners with Managers and Supervisors as needed to address issues, communicates with customers, acts as a CEO (customer experience owner) and reports resolution of issues to the VP. 
• Helps build the Cox brand internally by planning employee relations activities and events and through positive and effective interpersonal skills with front line employees, various departments and in all levels of management, in both formal and informal ways. Assists the Vice President with activities and information critical to maintaining positive employee morale. This is particularly significant as we lead our organization through change. Also represents the Cox brand in a positive way in community. 
• Performs tasks such as travel arrangements, plans details and provides support for meetings and events, prepares emails and other correspondence, manages departmental supplies, prepares expense reports, handles electronic mail, answers telephone calls, runs errands, etc. 
• Creates, organizes, and maintains departmental and financial records and filing systems and develops a system for pro-active management of paperwork and materials in the department. 
• Compiles data and reports, creates presentations, and assists with support materials for operations, meetings, events and conferences. 
• Books conference rooms, schedule telepresence meetings, and distributes incoming mail. 
• Serves as back-up to the Facilities Department for processing outgoing mail for Lafayette-based departments and serves as back-up to Human Resources for issuing temporary badges. When available, assists other departments with planning of their events. 
• Commits to ongoing professional development by completing a minimum of 3 courses per year. 

• High school graduate or GED or equivalent work experience 
• 3 years of administrative support experience, demonstrating outstanding quality and production performance 
• Experience using Windows-based PCs, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook) in a work setting 
• Strong knowledge of ICOMS or Cable data billing system functionality 
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization 

• 5 or more year of experience preferred in administrative support role 
• Advanced keyboard and 10 key skills. 
• Advanced knowledge level of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Outlook. 
• Determine when utilizing a data base to achieve results in necessary 
• Proficient analytical skills to determine process trends 
• Associates Degree in related field preferred 
• Telecommunications or utility experience preferred
