Business License: To assist businesses in lowering their overall cost of doing business, Lafayette Consolidated Government has eliminated business licenses.

Occupational License: Whether or not you need an occupational licenses depends on the type of profession you are pursuing. A list of professions that require an occupational license to practice in the state can be found by clicking here.

Prior to obtaining licensing information, we suggest that you contact the Small Business Development Center located nearest you for assistance with management, financing and business plan development.  Seminars and workshops are also provided.
