Software firm to create 350 jobs with Lafayette office
A California-based software company announced Monday it will open an enterprise software center in Lafayette, a move that will create 350 new jobs over the next three years.
Enquero Inc. said its Agile Delivery Center in Lafayette will be its first outsourcing site outside of Silicon Valley. The jobs at the software center will have an average annual salary of $64,300, plus benefits. Louisiana Economic Development said the facility will create another 354 indirect jobs.
Enquero plans to start hiring workers in Lafayette starting in August. The company will initially sublease about 2,200 square feet of office space from the Lafayette Economic Development Authority while it looks for additional space.
"We found Lafayette to be an extremely entrepreneurial community with strong alignment between its community stakeholders, such as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, South Louisiana Community College, Lafayette Economic Development Authority and others," said Hemant Asher, an executive with Enquero. "The community leaders clearly understood Enquero's vision and its needs as a growth company."
