LEDA Virtual Job Fair

In addition to posting your vacancies on LEDA's website, positions are also distributed to a network of workforce centers and educational institutions as appropriate.





Position: Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager reports to the Director of Accounting and Management Reporting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability, reconciliation responsibility, as well as financial profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned.
• Analyzing and summarizing account information.
• Responsible for general ledger.
• Fixed asset processing and reporting.
• Maintain bank accounts by requesting disbursements.
• Monitor reserve accounts and short-term fund investments.
• Review bank statements.
• Research and reconcile all discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Auditing and verifying documents.
• Collect and analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
• Following internal controls.
• Monitor and change policies and procedures along with Sox narratives.
• Completing data backups.
• Monitor and support taxation requirements
• Financial and profitability analysis on a requested basis.
• Manage team of accountants
• Interviewing, hiring orienting and training employees.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Coaching and appraising performance.
• Rewarding and disciplining employees.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:
• Must have an Accounting degree and at least 3 years experience.
• Good Phone Communications Skills.
• Strong Computer Skills.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP) and principles
• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
• Adherence to policies, procedures and instructions of Manager of Financial Reporting.
• Knowledge and experience of accounting computer applications
• Ability to function as a team player.
