Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain servers, including but not limited to database, mail, network, and application servers
• Ensure continuous delivery and operation of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance
• Prepare and maintain documentation of infrastructure processes, systems configuration, and network mapping
• Lead infrastructure migration/upgrades projects, from the design through the implementation phase
• Manage virtual and physical servers running both Linux and Windows
• Install and configure network hardware and software, ensuring strong functionality and security
• Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity
• Troubleshoot network issues with diverse scopes where analysis of situations requires evaluation and judgment
• Participate in negotiation with vendors to secure software products and services
• Plan and assist with the deployment of Microsoft Intune policies and settings
• Assist in mergers and acquisitions which may include technical migrations, administrative migrations, and technical integrations
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and other team members
• Stay current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommend ways for the company to take advantage of new technology
• Other responsibilities and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
• 3-5 years of network administration, or system administration experience
• Experience with cloud infrastructure – AWS, Azure

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Cybersecurity knowledge
• Dependable and flexible when necessary
• Network security experience
• LAN and WAN infrastructure experience
• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
• Ability to provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection
