Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop unique and innovative jewelry designs using CAD software, based on customer specifications and design briefs.
- Ensure that all designs meet quality, accuracy, and manufacturing feasibility standards, paying close attention to detail.
- Work closely with team members, including other designers, gemologists, and manufacturing staff, to ensure seamless workflow and successful design outcomes.
- Communicate directly with customers to understand their design preferences, provide design updates, and address any concerns or modifications.
- Stay abreast of current trends in jewelry design, technology, and manufacturing processes to ensure designs are innovative and competitive.
- Have a strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, materials, and gemstone settings to create designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and feasible to produce..
- Manage workload efficiently to meet project deadlines and ensure timely delivery of designs to customers and production teams.
- Seek opportunities for professional development and improvement in CAD skills, design techniques, and industry knowledge to enhance design capabilities and stay competitive in the field.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in CAD software, with a strong ability to create complex 3D designs.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure designs meet quality and accuracy standards.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate unique and innovative design concepts.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and communicate with customers.
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines and manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Ability to identify and solve design-related problems effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive work culture.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in jewelry design, CAD/CAM technology, or a related field is preferred.
